About the Role

A leading global law firm is seeking an experienced Trademark Paralegal to join its Intellectual Property – Trademark team in Atlanta, GA. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and has extensive experience handling U.S. and international trademark prosecution.

The successful candidate will manage trademark portfolios, prepare and file trademark applications, coordinate with international counsel, and support attorneys and clients with trademark-related matters. Regular in-office attendance is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage trademark-related deadlines and maintain a full docket.
• Conduct trademark screening searches using TESS, SAEGIS, Corsearch, and the WIPO Global Brand Database.
• Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications, renewals, declarations of use, extensions of time, office action responses, and other USPTO filings.
• Prepare and file international trademark applications and extensions through WIPO.
• File UDRP complaints with WIPO and other applicable forums.
• Record trademark assignments, name changes, and other ownership documents with the USPTO.
• Prepare and file procedural documents with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
• Communicate with clients to obtain information and provide updates on trademark matters.
• Coordinate with foreign counsel on international trademark prosecution and enforcement.
• Investigate potential trademark infringement issues.
• Prepare customized trademark portfolio reports for clients.
• Support business development and client service initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Paralegal Certificate preferred.
• Certified Paralegal designation is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Trademark Paralegal in a law firm or 5 years of experience as a trademark professional.
• Strong knowledge of USPTO systems, including TEAS and ESTTA.
• Experience with WIPO, TESS, SAEGIS, and Corsearch.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency in trademark prosecution, maintenance, and portfolio management.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.
