Financial Accountant

This role is responsible for analyzing and reconciling joint venture operating expenses and various liability accounts, preparing monthly accruals and financial analyses, and supporting monthly and quarterly internal and external reporting.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly accruals and other journal entries.
• Reconcile various liability/operating expense accounts monthly.
• Process wires and ACH payments.
• Maintain various outside databases for vehicles and fuel cards.
• Prepare deliverables for Federal Energy Regulatory Commission reporting on a quarterly basis.
• Interact with field personnel to understand operating expense activity.
• Prepare and analyze several monthly joint venture operating reporting packages.
• Ability to understand key components of joint venture agreements and apply them to assigned tasks as needed.
• Various other department projects, as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience using Oracle Fusion and Smart View
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills and experience with copilot.
• Ability to work independently within established guidelines and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience improving processes/leveraging AI tools.
• Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.
• Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.
