We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Houston, TX (6000 Jensen Dr.). This is a fully onsite position responsible for supporting close processes, financial reporting, and account reconciliations in a multi-entity environment.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Prepare and assist with consolidated financial statements, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation adjustments
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure accuracy
• Reconcile bank, retail, and credit card accounts on a monthly basis
• Maintain and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and reporting
• Assist with external audits, regulatory filings, and special projects
• Ensure ongoing compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Research technical accounting matters and prepare supporting documentation
• Partner with Tax and Finance teams on cross-functional initiatives and issue resolution
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with consolidated financial reporting and multi-entity environments preferred
• Background in public accounting, audit, or internal audit is a plus
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or industrial services preferred
• Proficiency with ERP and general ledger systems (e.g., eStelplan or Invex a plus)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; Power BI experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
