Position: Program Manager Consultant

Location: Charleston, SC

Length: 1+ year contract-to-hire

Rate: $64/hr

Required Skills

• 5+ years of progressive program management experience in managed services, professional services, manufacturing, IT, or highly regulated industries
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-workstream programs with structured governance and cross-functional teams
• Proven track record managing to SLAs, throughput targets, and milestone-based commercial constructs
• Strong expertise in KPI frameworks, operational dashboards, and data-driven performance management
• Strong financial acumen — budget management, cost control, and vendor oversight
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification
• Lean, Six Sigma, or structured CI methodology certification
• Prior experience delivering managed services within a consulting or professional services model
• Experience with production ramp planning and workforce mobilization
• Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline

Position Summary

The Program Manager provides integrated leadership, governance, and cross-functional coordination across complex managed service engagements. This role connects executive governance with day-to-day execution, ensuring engagements operate as unified, outcome-based managed services. The Program Manager drives phased delivery, milestone performance, reporting cadence, cost control, and decision transparency across the full engagement lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Governance — Establish and lead structured governance routines (daily, weekly, monthly, executive) and serve as the primary liaison between internal delivery teams, client leadership, and functional managers.
• Phased Delivery & Milestones — Own end-to-end execution across mobilization, stabilization, and sustained operations; drive milestone achievement against defined acceptance criteria and manage acceptance/cure cycles.
• Change & Risk Management — Manage scope, schedule, and cost variances through structured change control; own the risk & issues register and mitigation plans.
• Cross-Functional Coordination — Coordinate resource deployment, capacity planning, and workstream alignment across core and flex resources to balance throughput demand with delivery quality.
