Job Profile Summary
Software Developer implements and maintains SW features as part of a development team. In this role you will be developing user interface device with QT/QML, or any other GUI framework. Software Developer documents, designs, implements and unit tests SW features. Software Developer maintains the implemented software by making necessary and timely modifications. Software Developer ensures necessary quality of their deliverables by working according to industry best practices and as per the defined designs for the features. Senior developers also contribute to the designs and defining requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities we offer:
Quality focus:
-Ensure that deliverables are implemented with industry best practices and as per the defined designs.
- Accountable and responsible for adequate unit test coverage for the software in own scope as part of the implementation process to ensure early quality.
- Accountable for passing build (warnings and errors in compilation)
-Accountable and responsible to ensure that SW features are well documented using the agreed tools
-Ensure that defects are fixed according to defect process and in a timely manner
Collaboration focus:
- Software Developer works as part of agile teams co-operating with other developers and testers as well as the Product Owner. SW developers carry a general awareness of team level competencies (as in T-shaped” profiles) and processes.
- Handles code reviews in the team
- Continuously looks for improvement opportunities in own area and shares them with rest of the team.
Planning focus
-Responsible for participating and actively contributing to agile ceremonies such as daily stand ups, sprint planning and quarterly planning
-Software Developer participates to backlog grooming and story estimations
-Understanding the Requirement/Ideas/Issues and proposing design solutions
- Implementing and executing the solution in compliance to the SDLC process, codes & standards
- Maintain and Manage SW and related Development tools and Equipment
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Programming skill in Qt Application development with good knowledge in C++, Qml & JavaScript is must
- Working knowledge in UI development IDE Qt Creator is must
- Good understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOPs) concepts.
- Basic Programming skills in Linux environment
- Good knowledge in TCP/IP
- Excellent Trouble Shooting and Debugging skills
- Embedded UI development is value added
- QT for MCU UI development is value added
- 7-9 years of experience in Qt QML Application Development
- Proficiency in C++ programming
- Working Knowledge in IDEs like QT, Android studio is value added
- Working knowledge in squish automation testing is value added
- Able to perform extensive Module Tests and Unit Test for the developed SW
- Familiarity in performing static analysis check SW modules using any SQM tools
- Agile Tools & Practices
- Version Control knowledge on any tools such as GIT/GIT LAB
- Software development with Agentic AI is value added
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
