Job Summary
The Senior Business Process Analyst provides expertise in gathering business rules, developing process design, and implementation of process solutions. The position collaborates with relevant departments to design process flows, create process change documentation, validates process change is in alignment with TriWest business needs and Veteran’s Administration’s Healthcare requirements. Facilitates meetings, identifies, collects, organizes and prioritizes process requirements and business processes changes to meet business requirements. Clarifies complex business issues and recommends solutions. Advocates business process improvement through data analysis, process change and technology application.
Education & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in a Business Analyst role or related Process Improvement experience
- If supporting TRICARE contract, must be a U.S. Citizen
- If supporting TRICARE contract, must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation
- Experience with driving moderate to complex projects
- Experience with process flow documentation and design
- Intermediate to advanced Excel and Visio skills
- 2+ years of experience in a healthcare or call center environment
- Experience in Tableau and SQL or other data management tools/languages
- PMP certification
- Performs as a key member of business operations improvement team utilizing expert process improvement skills and strong understanding of business functions.
- May lead project team assignments of moderate to complex scope requiring expert technical skills and good understanding of business functions. Coaches, mentors and trains project team members.
- Responds under short turnaround times to process change requests and answers detailed questions on existing processes.
- Identifies opportunities for potential ROI benefits through process designs.
- Reviews existing processes and identifies opportunities for process improvements.
- Effectively educates colleagues and/or leadership on correct operational processes.
- Develops, delivers and maintains quality business process solutions to support short/long term business goals.
- Recommends creative and innovative process solutions to business for technical problems.
- Analyzes and identifies core business processes for application design.
- Communicates issues openly, honestly, and timely with peers, management and leadership.
- Prepare and present new initiatives to senior leadership to help obtain process change approval.
- May work with vendors to implement process solutions via software solutions.
- Participates in the definition, implementation, and execution of best practices.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Communication / People Skills: Ability to influence or persuade others under positive or negative circumstances; adapt to different styles; listen critically; collaborate.
Computer Literacy: Ability to function in a multi-system Microsoft environment using Word, Outlook, TriWest Intranet, the Internet, and department software applications.
Coping / Flexibility: Resiliency in adapting to a variety of situations and individuals while maintaining a sense of purpose and mature problem-solving approach is required.
Independent Thinking / Self-Initiative: Critical thinkers with ability to focus on things which matter most to achieving outcomes; commitment to task to produce outcomes without direction and to find necessary resources
Information Management: Ability to manage large amounts of complex information easily, communicate clearly, and draw sound conclusions.
Multi-Tasking / Time Management: Prioritize and manage actions to meet changing deadlines and requirements within a high volume, high stress environment.
Problem Solving / Analysis: Ability to solve problems through systematic analysis of processes with sound judgment; has a realistic understanding of relevant issues.
Technical Skills: Understanding of system/process engineering concepts; ability to fully understand business functions and needs, priorities, processes, and emerging technology issues.

- Works in a standard office environment, with less than 10% travel
- Works non-regular hours as required
- Extensive computer work with prolonged sitting
