Senior Litigation Paralegal

Chicago, IL | Full-Time | Competitive Compensation

Are you a seasoned litigation paralegal looking to join a high-performing legal team where your expertise truly makes an impact?

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to support complex civil litigation matters from case inception through trial. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, managing high-profile cases, and serving as a key partner to attorneys throughout the litigation process.

What You'll Be Doing

As a trusted member of the litigation team, you'll play a critical role in keeping cases moving forward efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and maintaining complex case files and litigation documents
  • Drafting and preparing legal documents, correspondence, discovery materials, and court filings
  • Coordinating all phases of discovery, including document collection, review, and production
  • Conducting factual and legal research to support case strategy
  • Scheduling and coordinating depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances
  • Preparing attorneys, witnesses, exhibits, and trial materials for hearings and trial proceedings
  • Monitoring case deadlines and ensuring compliance with court rules and procedural requirements
  • Collaborating with attorneys, clients, experts, court personnel, and outside vendors throughout the litigation lifecycle
What We're Looking For
  • 6+ years of litigation paralegal experience
  • Strong understanding of civil litigation processes and procedures
  • Experience with state and federal court filings
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management/document management systems
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Preferred Background
  • Experience supporting insurance, commercial litigation, property claims, construction defect, or complex civil litigation matters is highly desirable
