Position: Python Developer

Location: open to Chicago IL, Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Tampa FL, or NYC

Schedule: Hybrid - 3x days onsite, 2x days remote

Duration: 6-mo contract to direct hire (will convert fulltime!) - W2 only

Pay Rate: $70/hr - $82/hr (based on experience)

• Conversion Salary: ~$140K-$150K base + annual bonus (typically 10-20%)

Must-Have Requirements :

• 7–10+ years of professional software development experience in backend or full-stack engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with strong knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming principles.
• Experience with Python development for large, complex projects (2+ years).
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying Azure Functions, APIs, and event-driven systems.
• Experience integrating with databases and designing data interaction layers for performance and scalability.
• Solid understanding of microservices, serverless architectures, and distributed systems.
• Exposure or experience to AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, RAG, and orchestration tools like LangChain, AutoGen, or Semantic Kernel.

Plusses:

• Experience with specifically Azure cloud.

Day-to-Day:

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Python Developer to join their team. Daily responsibilities will include working alongside developers, architects, and AI/ML leaders to build and enhance internal AI-powered applications and automation tools. The role is highly hands-on and focused on engineering rather than strategy. As a Python Engineer, you will design and develop robust, cloud-native systems that power intelligent automation and decision-making. You will be a hands-on problem solver—building APIs, Azure Functions, and event-driven services that form the backbone of scalable, AI-ready enterprise applications.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain applications using Python, C#, or TypeScript.
• Work with SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-based databases to build efficient data solutions.
• Build and support event-driven applications using Azure services such as Event Grid and Durable Functions.
• Prototype and implement new APIs, SDKs, and tools to support AI and automation initiatives.
• Create monitoring and diagnostic solutions to improve system reliability and performance.
• Follow best practices for testing, CI/CD, and cloud optimization.
• Collaborate with engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
