Procurement Specialist
Overview
We're seeking a Procurement Specialist to support purchasing operations, vendor management, and sourcing activities for a leading healthcare organization. This role will focus on processing purchase orders, managing vendor records, supporting Oracle Cloud purchasing functions, and ensuring efficient procurement processes.

Location: Hybrid, Chicago, IL
Shift Time: Monday–Friday (40hrs)
Pay Rate: $27.14/hour with benefits
Responsibilities
- Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
- Source goods and services while maintaining quality and cost standards.
- Prepare and analyze RFQs and vendor quotes.
- Support Oracle Cloud Purchasing and E-Procurement activities.
- Audit and maintain vendor records and online catalogs.
- Resolve procurement system issues and purchasing tickets.
- Manage purchase order acknowledgements, cancellations, and returns.
- Partner with vendors to resolve pricing, delivery, and quality issues.
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives and procurement compliance.
- Train and assist internal users on purchasing processes and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of experience processing purchase requisitions and/or purchase orders.
- Experience with purchasing procedures and contract negotiations.
- Experience using an automated purchasing system or ERP platform.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Candidate must provide their own laptop
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Purchasing and E-Procurement modules.
- Vendor management and sourcing experience.
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
