Job Description

About The Role:


We are looking for a Human Resources Manager responsible for leading all human resources functions within the manufacturing facility, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, compliance, and workforce planning. This role partners with plant leadership to build a productive, engaged, and compliant workforce while supporting operational objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions.
  • Develop workforce plans to support production demands and business growth.
  • Partner with staffing agencies, technical schools, and community organizations to attract talent.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.

Employee Relations

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees regarding HR policies and practices.
  • Conduct investigations related to employee complaints, workplace conflicts, and policy violations.
  • Promote a positive employee relations environment and support employee engagement initiatives.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and corrective action processes.

Performance Management

  • Support managers with performance reviews, coaching, and employee development plans.
  • Ensure consistent application of performance management programs.
  • Monitor employee productivity, attendance, and retention trends.

Compliance & Labor Relations

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and workplace safety programs.
  • Administer HR policies and procedures in accordance with company standards.
  • Support labor relations activities and collective bargaining processes, if applicable.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Administer compensation programs and recommend salary adjustments.
  • Manage employee benefits enrollment and employee inquiries.
  • Participate in compensation benchmarking and market analysis.

Training & Development

  • Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
  • Ensure compliance training requirements are completed.
  • Develop leadership training programs for supervisors and managers.
  • Support succession planning initiatives.

HR Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
  • Analyze HR metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, hiring, and retention.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for plant and corporate leadership.
  • Manage HR budgets and departmental expenditures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field required.

Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing, production, distribution, or industrial environment preferred.
  • Experience supporting hourly workforces and multi-shift operations.
  • Labor relations experience preferred.

Certifications

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience with employee relations investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems and HR analytics.
  • Strong recruiting and talent management skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR technology platforms.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing plant environment with regular interaction on the production floor.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support multiple shifts as needed.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Reports To: Director of Administration


Salary Range: 100,000-120,000
