Job Summary
The HR Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring workforce compliance through systematic audits, accurate maintenance of personnel records, timely employment verifications, and ongoing monitoring of employment requirements, licensure, and certifications. This role is essential in supporting regulatory readiness, accreditation standards, and organizational risk mitigation by ensuring employee records are accurate, complete, and compliant.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and audit employee personnel files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Ensure required documentation is collected, retained, updated, and securely stored in accordance with records retention standards.
- Conduct routine and ad hoc audits of personnel files, employment records, and compliance data; track audit findings and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Prepare and provide documentation in response to internal audits, external audits, accreditation reviews, and regulatory requests.
- Support organization‑wide readiness for healthcare compliance and accreditation reviews.
- Complete employment and salary verifications accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with legal, privacy, and confidentiality requirements.
- Track and monitor licenses, certifications, credentials, training requirements, and other conditions of employment.
- Ensure required certifications, licensure, and mandatory training remain current and notify appropriate stakeholders of expiring or missing requirements.
- Assist with EHS processes, new hire onboarding documentation, and review of religious exemption requests.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 4 or more years of applicable work experience required
