GCP AI Managing Project Manager
This full time position work hybrid in downtown Chicago. Working 100% remote is not an option
.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global data operations teams and provide 24x7 support coverages
- Manage production incidents, root-cause analysis, and service restoration.
- Oversee production deployments, release validation, and rollback processes.Support real-time and batch data pipelines.Ensure availability, scalability, and reliability of cloud data platforms across AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Drive observability, monitoring, alerting, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Partner with engineering, DevOps, architecture, security, product, and business stakeholders.
- Lead operational governance, SLA/SLO management, compliance, and continuous improvement programs. Champion innovation by identifying opportunities to modernize platforms, optimize operations, and adopt emerging technologies.
- Develop and lead proof-of-concepts (POCs), AI-driven prototypes, and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and business outcomes. Evaluate and implement AI/ML, Generative AI, and intelligent automation capabilities within data operations and platform support functions.
- Manage engagement financials, including budgeting, forecasting, resource utilization, cost optimization, vendor management, and cloud spend governance. Track and report operational KPIs, service performance metrics, and financial targets to executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading large-scale cloud data operations and production support organizations. Strong understanding of modern data platforms, cloud-native architectures, and reliability engineering.
- Demonstrated experience delivering AI prototypes, innovation initiatives, and automation programs that drive measurable business value.
- Proven track record managing operational budgets, engagement financials, and cost optimization programs.
- Experience working in complex, global, matrixed environments with executive stakeholder engagement.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $119,392 to $174,088.
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction. These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.
It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
