Akkodis is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer role is a Full-Time with a client located in Chicago, IL (Hybrid). Ideally looking for applicants to have a solid background in Payment/Payroll, AWS, Embedded Systems, Python, Django. would come as a big plus.
Salary Range: $170k-$185k/Annum + Benefits, The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner directly with enterprise customers to gather requirements and deliver customized software solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python and Django.
- Build modern customer-facing applications using React.
- Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Design and implement REST APIs, integrations, and application-layer enhancements.
- Customize and extend embedded software platforms to meet customer-specific requirements.
- Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and implementation workshops with customers and partners.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide Tier-3 technical support.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and Django.
- Experience developing modern web applications using React.
- Solid experience with AWS cloud services.
- Strong background in Embedded Systems development.
- Experience working with Payroll and/or Payment Processing Systems is required.
- Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and distributed systems.
- Proven experience in customer-facing software engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
