Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

📍 Chicagoland Area | Hybrid We're partnered with a growing operating company who is in search of a Director, Financial Planning & Analysis to lead a critical finance function. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys partnering with executive leadership, influencing business decisions, and elevating FP&A beyond traditional reporting.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, drive strategic planning efforts, and help shape the next phase of the organization's finance capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead annual planning, forecasting, and performance management processes across the organization.
• Provide actionable financial insights that support commercial, operational, and strategic decision-making.
• Develop executive reporting packages and performance dashboards for senior leadership.
• Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities, risks, and drivers impacting results.
• Build and enhance financial models, KPI frameworks, and planning tools.
• Evaluate business performance trends and communicate meaningful recommendations.
• Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, reporting processes, and financial visibility.
• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals.
• Support long-range planning, board materials, and key strategic initiatives.

What They're Looking For:

• 10+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, or related experience.
• Experience within a mid-to-large-scale product-based organization.
• Strong leadership skills with prior people management experience.
• Track record of partnering with commercial and operational stakeholders.
• Ability to translate financial data into strategic business insights.
• Comfortable presenting to executive leadership and influencing decision-making.
