Our challenge:

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to support enterprise DevOps initiatives focused on automation, CI/CD modernization, and cloud-native platform support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure and deployment processes, and driving DevOps best practices across development and operations teams.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Columbus, Ohio is $90k - $100k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Harness.
• Automate software build, testing, deployment, and release processes to improve delivery efficiency and reliability.
• Implement infrastructure automation and configuration management solutions.
• Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to streamline software delivery workflows.
• Manage and optimize containerized application deployments across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve deployment and infrastructure issues in a timely manner.
• Establish and enforce DevOps best practices, standards, and governance.
• Improve system scalability, availability, security, and performance through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud-native deployment methodologies.
• Participate in release planning, deployment strategies, and production support activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and Harness.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with infrastructure and process automation.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting skills using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
• Experience with source code management tools such as Git/GitHub.

Preferred, but not required:

• Hands-on experience with OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates, or similar technologies.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Dynatrace.
• Cloud certifications in Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, or OpenShift are a plus.
