Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We're looking for a Sr Staff Developer to be part of making this happen.  

About The Role

As a SrStaff Developer, you'll take a leadership role in designing and building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services that power our cybersecurity solutions. You'll mentor junior developers, drive architectural decisions, and work closely with front-end engineers, security teams, and DevOps to create robust and efficient systems.

What You'll Do

  • Architect, develop and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and micro-services to support frontend applications.
  • Optimise system performance, security, and reliability for large-scale cloud applications.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, security teams, and DevOps engineers to drive backend innovation.
  • Work with databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Implement authentication, authorisation, and security best practices.
  • Guide and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
  • Continuously improve development processes and promote backend best practices.
  • Work with React/Typescript to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend components.

What You Bring

  • 12+ years of experience in backend development, with exposure to full-stack development.
  • Expertise in any of the programming languages such as Go, Python, Java and experience in DataBricks
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, and micro-services architecture.
  • Experience with databases (such as PostgreSQL).
  • Proficiency in asynchronous programming, multithreading, and performance optimisation.
  • Familiarity with message queues (such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS).
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, authentication, and authorisation mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and ECS.
  • Familiarity with AI native tools (such as lang chain, lang fuse) and experience in development lifecycle with AI-DLC

Bonus Points for

  • Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes/ECS) and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience with AWS services or AZURE services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity products like XDR, MDR, SOC
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks like NIST, MITRE
  • Strong experience with Git for version control.
  • Interest in cybersecurity and security operations.
