Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned HR Operations Manager to lead our corporate HR functions at Writer Information. In this role, you will be the custodian of the employee lifecycle, ensuring seamless operational delivery, 100% statutory compliance, and robust payroll management. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Indian labor laws and a proven track record of managing HR systems for a large, diverse workforce.
Role & responsibilities
1. Employee Lifecycle Management
- Direct all operational activities from pre-boarding to off-boarding.
- Oversee the issuance of offer letters, employment contracts, and comprehensive document verification.
- Manage the exit process, including clearance, conducting insightful exit interviews, and ensuring timely Full & Final (F&F) settlements.
2. Payroll & Benefits Administration
- End-to-end ownership of monthly payroll processing and timely salary disbursements for the corporate office.
- Manage statutory deductions (Income Tax, PF, PT, LWF) and ensure accuracy in payroll inputs.
- Administer employee benefit programs, including GMC,GPA,GTL, Gratuity, and retirement plans.
3. Statutory Compliance & Labor Laws
- Ensure 100% adherence to Indian Labor Laws, including PF, ESI, and the Shops & Establishment Act.
- Manage Professional Tax filings, Gratuity management, and other state-specific regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external consultants or government bodies for audits and compliance inspections.
4. HRIS & Technology Management
- Act as the primary process owner for HR systems (HRIS/HRMS) such as Workday, Keka, or PeopleStrong.
- Drive the automation of HR processes to enhance efficiency and employee self-service capabilities.
5. Data Integrity & Strategic Reporting
- Maintain accurate, real-time employee master data.
- Develop and present HR Dashboards to leadership, tracking critical metrics like attrition trends, headcount analysis, and absenteeism.
6. Policy Implementation
- Translate corporate HR strategies into actionable workplace policies.
- Ensure all policies are updated in line with changing regulations and effectively communicated across the organization.
Preferred candidate profile
- Education: MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
- Experience: 1012 years of core HR Operations experience within a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Indian Payroll systems and statutory frameworks. Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with modern HRMS platforms is mandatory.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships in a corporate setting.
- Immediate Joiners/ Notice period with maximum of 15 days will be given high preference.
