Job Description

Do you want to work an industrial grade software solution powering real time manufacturing intelligence on factory floors worldwide?

As a Developer on our Shotscope™ team, you will help build and maintain industrial-grade manufacturing intelligence software used by customers worldwide. You will implement features and components on a .NET and Azure-based full stack, contribute clean and reliable code, and support the continuous evolution of a mission-critical product that connects machines, processes, and data.

This role is ideal for a motivated engineer who enjoys hands-on development, learning from experienced teammates, and seeing their work deployed in real production environments—with clear opportunities to grow toward senior and lead roles.

Responsibilities

Technical Implementation

• Implement software components and features based on provided designs, specifications, and guidance.
• Contribute to the development of reliable, maintainable, and secure code within the assigned scope.
• Apply agreed coding standards, patterns, and best practices in daily development work.
• Make basic technical decisions within assigned tasks, escalating questions or uncertainties when needed.
  
  

Delivery & Execution Excellence

• Translate assigned requirements and tasks into working software.
• Complete development work in alignment with sprint goals and delivery commitments.
• Contribute to task breakdowns and effort estimates for assigned work.
• Proactively raise risks, blockers, or implementation issues to the team.
  
  

Quality, Standards & Engineering Practices

• Write clean, testable code and contribute to unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews, incorporating feedback and learning from peers.
• Ensure individual contributions meet Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) criteria.
• Follow established DevOps, security, and quality practices.
  
  

Incident & Operational Support

• Assist in troubleshooting defects and issues in development and production environments.
• Support corrective (bug fixes) and evolutive (enhancements) maintenance of existing solutions.
  
  

Collaboration & Growth

• Collaborate effectively with other developers, QA, Product Owners, and Tech Leads.
• Seeking feedback and guidance to continuously improve technical skills.
• Actively learn the systems, tools, and technologies used by the team.
• Contribute positively to team culture and shared ownership of outcomes.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• 4+ years’ professional experience in software development.
• Proficiency in .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET Core, SQL, .NET Framework, Entity Framework).
• Strong grasp of Agile methodologies, DevOps principles, application security and version control systems (e.g., Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., preference: React; Angular).
• Clean Code Development and working experience with Unit Testing, and Test-driven Development.
• Familiarity with source code version control, branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines and other DevOps practices.
• Working knowledge of Agile development practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adjust quickly to changing assignments, and priorities.
  
  

Assets

• Familiarity with CI/CD and pipelines.
• Experience using AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot) responsibly, with full accountability for code quality, security, and compliance.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, with experience in leveraging key services (e.g., Azure App Services, Azure Functions).
• Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server BI stack, including SSAS (OLAP cube design), SSRS (report development), and SSIS (ETL processes and data integration).
