Job Description
Role Purpose:
To act as a strategic HR Business Partner to assigned business units, driving people strategy, workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, compliance, and organizational effectiveness. The role is responsible for aligning HR initiatives with business objectives while ensuring operational excellence and strong governance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic HR Partnership
- Partner with business leadership to translate business strategy into HR priorities
- Drive workforce planning, manpower budgeting, and capability building initiatives
- Provide insights on organizational structure, productivity, and talent risks
- Act as advisor to leadership on people-related matters
2. Talent Management & Development
- Lead performance management cycles including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual appraisals
- Identify high-potential talent and succession planning opportunities
- Drive leadership development and capability enhancement programs
- Support internal talent mobility and career progression planning
3. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Build strong employee connect across levels
- Manage grievance handling, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution
- Drive engagement initiatives and culture-building interventions
- Monitor attrition trends and develop retention strategies
4. HR Operations & Compliance
- Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle (hire to retire)
- Ensure statutory compliance and adherence to labor laws
- Supervise payroll inputs, benefits administration, and exit management
- Maintain governance, policy implementation, and audit readiness
5. Organizational Development
- Support change management initiatives
- Lead restructuring, role clarity, and productivity improvement exercises
- Drive HR process improvements and digitization initiatives
6. Analytics & Reporting
- Analyze HR metrics including attrition, absenteeism, productivity ratios
- Present insights and dashboards to senior management
- Support HR budgeting and cost optimization
Preferred Candidate's Profile:
- MBA / PGDM in HR from a reputed institute
- 10-15+ years of progressive HR experience, with exposure to business partnering
- Experience in manufacturing / engineering / automotive / industrial setup preferred
- Strong understanding of labor laws and compliance frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in managing large teams or multi-location operations
