Lead Backend Engineer Java, Cloud & Microservices
Location: Gurugram

Role Overview
We are looking for a Lead Backend Engineer to design and deliver cloudnative microservices using Java and Spring Boot. You will lead engineering teams, collaborate with product and client stakeholders, and contribute to modern React.js + TypeScript based applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop microservices and APIs using Java 17, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Cloud
Design distributed systems using Kafka/RabbitMQ, Redis, SQL/NoSQL
Deploy and operate services on AWS/Azure/GCP using Docker & Kubernetes
Enable CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automation
Collaborate with frontend teams using React.js and TypeScript
Establish coding standards, testing strategies, and code reviews
Implement observability (logs, metrics, traces) and support production systems
Lead, mentor engineers, and work closely with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, and clients
Required Skills
- 10+ years of backend engineering experience; 3+ years in a technical lead role
Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices
Experience with Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
Knowledge of distributed systems, performance tuning, and security
Working exposure to React.js & TypeScript
Good to Have
- API Gateways, GraphQL, Resilience4j
- GitOps, cloud cost optimization
- Banking / financial domain compliance
Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud (AEM, Analytics, Target, Commerce, Workfront, DAM)
