About the Role:

We are looking for a high-calibre strategy and analytics professional to help shape the future of programming for Colors, one of India's largest entertainment brands. This role sits at the intersection of consumer insights, business strategy, content performance, and monetization, leveraging large-scale viewership and streaming data to influence what millions watch across TV and digital platforms.
You will work closely with teams across Programming, Revenue, Business, and Distribution teams to solve high-impact questions:
- What content formats drive sustained audience growth
- How should scheduling evolve to maximise viewership and engagement
- How can data improve monetization outcomes without compromising consumer experience
- What shifts in audience behavior should shape the next programming bet
This is a high-visibility role with a direct impact on viewership growth, advertising performance, and programming strategy across TV and JioHotstar.
Key Responsibilities:
Audience Strategy & Consumer Intelligence
- Translate audience and consumption data into strategic recommendations that drive viewership growth across TV and JioHotstar.
- Analyze viewership trends, consumer cohorts, market shifts, and competitive programming landscapes to uncover growth opportunities.
- Drive data-led recommendations on content formats, scheduling, slot optimization, and programming interventions.
- Support high-impact programming decisions including show launches, scheduling shifts, and content transitions through audience analytics.
- Identify macro trends, seasonality, festivals, and external factors influencing audience behavior and consumption patterns.
Growth, Monetization & Business Impact
- Partner with Programming and Revenue teams to optimize audience delivery, advertising yield, and content monetization.
- Recommend data-backed scheduling and inventory strategies to improve GRP performance while enhancing viewer experience.
- Support critical business moments including IPL, tentpole launches, and competitive programming periods through predictive analysis and strategic interventions.
- Balance consumer engagement goals with commercial outcomes to drive sustainable business impact.
Strategic Business Partnering
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Programming, Sales, Distribution, and Business teams to influence decision-making.
- Translate complex analytics into clear, compelling business narratives for leadership teams.
- Act as a strategic advisor by identifying risks, opportunities, and performance levers in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced Analytics & Decision Science
- Lead deep-dive analyses on content performance, audience behavior, and programming effectiveness.
- Develop repeatable frameworks and analytical models to improve audience forecasting and decision-making.
- Build scalable reporting mechanisms to track viewership trends, programming impact, and monetization performance.
- Drive a culture of data-led experimentation and continuous optimization.
Preferred Profile
- 8–10 years of experience in Strategy, Analytics, Consumer Insights, Media Research, Business Intelligence, Consulting, or Audience Analytics.
- Strong analytical rigor with the ability to convert data into strategic business actions.
- Experience working with large datasets and solving consumer/business problems at scale.
- Exposure to Media, Digital Platforms, FMCG, Consulting, Consumer Tech, or Entertainment is preferred.
- Familiarity with audience measurement systems such as BARC is an advantage.
