Role Description The Wealth Management Advisor Trainee is a full-time, on-site role based in Chicago, IL. In this position, the trainee will support senior advisors in developing personalized financial and retirement strategies for clients, including data gathering, basic analysis, and preparation of recommendation materials. Daily responsibilities include participating in client meetings, assisting with account setup and service requests, maintaining accurate client records, and following up on action items. The trainee will learn to explain financial products and wealth management solutions in clear, accessible language while adhering to regulatory and compliance standards. The role also involves ongoing training, studying for relevant licenses or certifications, and collaborating with team members to meet client service and business development goals.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge or strong interest in Financial Planning and Retirement Planning.
- Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and explain complex topics clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus
- Motivation to pursue relevant professional licenses (e.g., securities and insurance licenses) within defined timelines.
- High ethical standards, attention to detail, and commitment to compliance and confidentiality.
- Ability to work ON-SITE in Chicago, IL, manage multiple tasks, and contribute effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must have a vehicle and valid driver's license
