Global Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Location: West Houston, TX

Travel: Up to 30% travel required, with approximately 95% of travel being international

Our client, a well-established organization in West Houston, is seeking a Global Vice President of Sales and Marketing to lead and execute worldwide commercial strategy within the Upstream Oil and Gas industry. This executive leader will play a critical role in driving global growth, expanding market share, developing the sales team, and strengthening existing client relationships across international markets.

This opportunity is ideal for a proven sales leader with deep global experience who may be ready to take the next significant step in their career. The right candidate will bring a strong strategic mindset, leadership presence, and the ability to mentor teams while helping secure new business and maintain a strong existing book of business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the global sales and marketing strategy to support overall business objectives
  • Lead global sales initiatives across international markets within the Upstream Oil and Gas sector
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities while maintaining and growing the current book of business
  • Mentor, coach, and guide the sales team to improve performance and strengthen business development efforts
  • Provide strategic leadership in budgeting, planning, forecasting, and pipeline management
  • Deliver polished senior-level presentations to executive leadership, customers, and key stakeholders
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal leadership to align sales and marketing initiatives with company goals
  • Monitor global market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to refine commercial strategy

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive sales experience, including senior leadership responsibilities
  • Proven experience working for a global company and managing global sales efforts
  • Upstream Oil and Gas industry experience is required
  • Strong strategic leadership skills with the ability to drive growth and mentor high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated success in new business development and account management
  • Experience maintaining and expanding an existing book of business
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to deliver impactful presentations at the senior level
  • Hands-on experience with budgeting, planning, forecasting, and pipeline management
  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%, with the majority of travel being international
