Position: Market Analyst

Location: 5 days on site in Houston

Type: Permanent

Salary: $100-140k USD

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a Market Analyst to support a fast-growing oil commodities and futures brokerage specializing in crude oil, refined products, and physical energy transactions. This role sits directly on a high-volume trading desk and is heavily focused on backend analytics, real-time trade entry, and flawless execution of physical product trades rather than trading or brokerage progression. This is a mission‑critical role with zero tolerance for mistakes, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves precision-driven work, and wants long-term stability in an analyst seat rather than a path into trading. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Houston, Texas (5 days/week).

  • 2-5+ years of experience as an analyst in oil and gas, trading or related environments
  • Excel & Power BI expertise with the ability to manage complex data sets and build dynamic dashboards

  • Detail-oriented, organized with a strong attention to detail, compliance with the regulatory body in trade documentation and reporting is top priority.

Nice to have:

  • Energy market exposure, ideally 1–3 years in oil/gas, futures, or commodities analysis
  • Series 3 license or willingness to pass the exam as a condition of employment
