As a Senior CRM Analyst at Hertz, you will support the end-to-end development, deployment, and optimization of email, SMS, and push communications across Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty global brands. This is a hands-on role focused on building and maintaining automated, trigger-based communications at scale using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO).
You will play a key role in building and scaling CRM capabilities across both platforms. This role requires strong technical execution, rigorous QA practices, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable, high-performing CRM solutions. You will support high-volume, global CRM programs across three brands and help evolve Hertz’s CRM ecosystem as we expand.
What You’ll Do
- Support end-to-end build and execution of CRM transactional campaigns and triggered journeys across SFMC and AJO
- Team with Product, IT, Legal, Customer Experience, and Marketing teams to identify gaps in customer communications
- Maintain and develop automated triggered communications, including segmentation, trigger logic, and data flows
- Execute hands-on development using AMPScript, SQL, SSJS, JSON, HTML, and CSS within SFMC
- Enforce rigorous QA processes, including pre-send validation, journey testing, and regression checks
- Monitor deliverability and campaign health, including bounce rates, spam signals, and inbox placement
- Troubleshoot data, automation, and journey issues while identifying performance improvement opportunities through testing and data analysis
- Maintain campaign tagging, documentation, and operational processes to support scalability
- Prepare and manage deployment workflows, including scheduling, sequencing, and release hygiene to avoid over‑communication or conflicting messages
- Translate business requirements into scalable CRM solutions and independently execute builds
- Assist with promotional CRM campaign, including ad-hoc campaigns and leveraging AJO for event-based and real-time customer journeys, as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience within Salesforce ecosystem, particularly Marketing Cloud
- Proven ability to own end-to-end campaign and journey builds, from segmentation through deployment and QA
- Strong experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio), including building and managing automated journeys
- Proficiency in SQL and AMPScript for audience creation and dynamic content
- Experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) or similar journey orchestration platforms
- Experience with HTML/CSS for email development
- Proficiency with Server-Side Javascript and JSON for triggered communications
- Strong understanding of QA processes, testing frameworks, and campaign validation
- Familiarity with deliverability best practices and CRM program health monitoring
- Ability to troubleshoot data, journey, and automation issues within CRM platforms
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and optimize campaigns using data and performance insights
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience in the travel, hospitality, or rental car industry is a plus
- Experience working in high-volume or multi-brand CRM environments
