Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Cost Accounting Manager to support our manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with plant leadership to improve cost visibility, drive financial performance, and support day-to-day operational decision-making.

This is a great opportunity for a strong cost accountant ready to step into a more strategic, high-impact role while staying close to the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with plant and operations teams to improve cost, efficiency, and performance
  • Analyze and explain manufacturing variances (labor, material, overhead, PPV, usage)
  • Maintain and enhance standard costing processes
  • Support month-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Monitor and report on:
    • Cost performance and productivity
    • Inventory valuation and accuracy
    • Budget vs. actual results
    • Capacity and utilization
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and operational planning
  • Identify cost savings opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives
What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing finance
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Standard costing
    • Inventory accounting
    • Variance analysis
  • ERP experience required (Epicor a plus)
