The Senior System Administrator is responsible for administering, maintaining, and securing enterprise systems to ensure stable, reliable, and high-performing IT operations. This role requires a seasoned technical professional with expertise in system configuration, access controls, patch management, and issue resolution across complex environments.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Manage system configurations, access controls, and security settings to maintain compliance, operational integrity, and system reliability.
- Oversee patching, updates, and system maintenance activities to ensure all systems remain secure, current, and fully functional.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, performing root‑cause analysis and implementing durable corrective actions.
- Monitor enterprise systems for performance, availability, and capacity concerns, ensuring proactive system health and stability.
- Support operational processes, maintenance schedules, and system lifecycle management across production and non‑production environments.
- Maintain enterprise application environments and system infrastructure, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and security requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to support system upgrades, integration efforts, and modernization initiatives.
- Document system configurations, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps to support operational continuity and repeatability.
- Assist in the development and implementation of system hardening, access management, and security best practices.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience administering enterprise applications and systems in complex IT environments.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
- Experience managing system configurations, access controls, and patch management activities.
- Strong understanding of system monitoring, performance tuning, and operational best practices.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining secure, stable, and compliant enterprise systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
