Senior Project Manager (IT) – Hybrid (Boston, MA)

Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Duration: 12 Months

Work Schedule: 40 hours/week


Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale, complex technology initiatives. This role requires a strategic yet hands-on professional who can manage cross-functional teams, align stakeholders, and drive projects to successful completion within scope, timeline, and budget.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, brings strong leadership and communication skills, and has a proven ability to manage enterprise-level IT programs.


Note: This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite in Boston. Please confirm your availability and willingness to commute.


Key Responsibilities

1. Project Leadership & Execution (40%)

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple complex IT projects
  • Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource strategies
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and ensure successful execution
  • Ensure alignment with business and technology objectives

2. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication (20%)

  • Act as the primary liaison between business, technical teams, and leadership
  • Drive clear communication on project status, risks, and milestones
  • Present updates to senior stakeholders and governance forums

3. Team Leadership & Collaboration (15%)

  • Lead cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and drive accountability
  • Foster collaboration and problem-solving culture

4. Monitoring, Reporting & Financial Oversight (25%)

  • Track project performance, risks, and financials
  • Prepare status reports and dashboards
  • Ensure budget adherence and identify optimization opportunities
  • Conduct post-project reviews and document learnings


Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field
  • PMP / Agile / PRINCE2 certification preferred


Experience:

  • 8–10 years of IT Project Management experience
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, enterprise IT projects
  • Strong background in CRM, ERP, cloud, data integration, or infrastructure projects
  • Experience working with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated success in managing organizational change and transformation initiatives


Skills & Tools

  • Expertise in Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid methodologies
  • Strong experience with tools like MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or ServiceNow
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in dynamic environments
