Senior Litigation Paralegal – Labor & Employment Litigation

Our client, a highly respected and growing litigation firm in the Houston Galleria area, is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to support a busy labor and employment litigation practice. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide legal assistants and support staff while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with court rules and firm procedures
• Coordinate litigation workflows, allocate resources, and manage case deadlines
• Review court filings, electronic filings (ECF), and calendaring to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and judge-specific rules
• Partner closely with attorneys on case strategy, discovery management, client communications, and trial preparation
• Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, analyze discovery, and prepare case summaries
• Manage new case intake, court filings, service of process, and litigation tracking systems
• Draft, serve, and manage written discovery, review incoming responses, identify deficiencies, and coordinate follow-up efforts
• Prepare deposition notices, coordinate scheduling, travel, court reporters, and transcript management
• Support mediations by coordinating deadlines, submissions, and required documentation
• Maintain trial files, prepare exhibit and witness lists, organize trial materials, and assist attorneys through trial
• Manage settlement documentation, track deadlines, coordinate signatures, and oversee case closing procedures

Qualifications

• 7+ years of litigation paralegal experience required
• Labor & employment litigation experience strongly preferred
• Extensive experience handling discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
• Strong knowledge of federal and state court procedures, e-filing systems, and litigation calendaring
• Experience supervising or mentoring support staff is a plus
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
