Job Description

Description

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is Amazon's "Last Mile" delivery service, responsible for delivering packages—and smiles—to households and businesses across the planet. Our finance team partners closely with this rapidly expanding business, supporting a growing portfolio of delivery stations, vehicles, and technology to ensure packages arrive on time, often next day or faster. We complement traditional van delivery with innovative models like Amazon Flex (gig-economy drivers), Amazon Lockers, and more—all designed to delight our customers. Join us and help build one of the largest delivery networks on the planet.

AMZL Finance seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to join the US FP&A team. This role offers opportunities to grow your career across the many facets of our world-class delivery operation, with potential to rotate into other functional areas or roles across Amazon's portfolio of businesses.

As a Senior Financial Analyst on the AMZL IPAT (Insights, Planning, Analytics, and Technology) team, you will own financial and operational reporting, decision support, financial modeling, controllership, and cost reduction initiatives. You'll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial leadership as we scale our last-mile delivery organization. This role provides extensive partnership opportunities with business and finance leaders to identify best practices across the network and drive cost improvements. A typical day offers the chance to innovate through large-scale, data-driven decision-making while building creative, socially responsible logistics solutions.

Success in this role requires strong business partnership, sound judgment, and the ability to influence stakeholders in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment. You'll lead variance analysis deep dives, present findings during business reviews, and balance structured financial processes with ad-hoc projects. You bring best-in-class partnership skills and strong controllership, prioritizing work that maximizes impact for key stakeholders and solves complex, company-wide challenges.

Key job responsibilities

Communication: Use active listening and clear, concise communication (written and verbal) to articulate complex finance topics. Adjust style for various audiences.

Process Improvement: Identify and implement solutions to resolve, improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance processes—including exploring AI-driven solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Time Management: Prioritize work independently, resolve issues, meet deadlines, and seek feedback. Discern between urgent and non-urgent matters and act accordingly.

Professional Development: Drive your own growth within the Finance community—seek opportunities to expand expertise in emerging technologies including AI/ML, participate in initiatives, and share knowledge across teams.

Team Culture: Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment; serve as an effective mentor and role model for new team members.
