Senior Accountant | Philadelphia, PA
We are partnering with a high-growth investment firm in Philadelphia seeking a Senior Accountant to join a lean, high-impact team. This role offers strong visibility, hands-on ownership, and direct exposure to fund activity, financial reporting, and investment operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage accounting across multiple entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and close processes
• Support fund-related activity including capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (GAAP)
• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Assist with audit support, investor reporting, and external partner coordination
• Analyze financial data and improve processes, workflows, and reporting efficiency
Requirements:
• 3–5 years of accounting experience (public accounting or financial services preferred)
• Exposure to fund accounting concepts (capital activity, allocations, etc.)
• Strong financial reporting experience (balance sheet, P&L, reconciliations)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• High attention to detail with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset
Preferred (Not Required):
• Private equity, venture capital, or investment firm experience
• Big 4 or public accounting background
• Exposure to cap tables, valuations, or portfolio monitoring
• CPA or CPA-track
