Family Office Accountant (Treasury & AP Focus)
📍 Coral Gables, FL (Hybrid)
We are partnering with a dynamic and growing private family office based in Coral Gables to identify a detail-oriented and highly trusted Family Office Accountant. This role will play a critical part in managing day-to-day financial operations, with a strong emphasis on treasury management and accounts payable across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee treasury operations, including cash positioning, liquidity management, and intercompany transfers
- Monitor daily cash activity and maintain accurate short- and long-term cash flow forecasts
- Manage banking relationships, including onboarding accounts and optimizing services
- Execute domestic and international wire transfers with strong internal controls
- Lead the accounts payable function end-to-end: invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment execution
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendors, advisors, and household expenses
- Maintain vendor records and improve AP processes and controls
- Reconcile bank and investment accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entities (LLCs, trusts, etc.)
- Assist with financial reporting and coordination with external advisors (tax, audit, legal)
- Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive financial information
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–6+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a family office, private wealth, or closely held environment
- Strong experience in treasury/cash management and accounts payable
- Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Excel
- High attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals or multi-entity structures
- Familiarity with investment reporting or partnership accounting
- CPA or progress toward certification is a plus
