Global Energy company in North Houston is adding an experienced Senior Accountant to their team!
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a world class organization that offers growth and advancement. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Technology department, providing financial insights and guidance and will support operations with accurate forecasting and financial planning.
The responsibilities will include the following:
- Perform activities involving complex accounting reports and analyses using spreadsheets and financial applications
- Prepare and post journal vouchers for complex accounting transactions
- Support operations with accurate forecasting and financial planning
- Demonstrate expertise in OPEX and CAPEX
- Review and monitor financial transactions for accuracy and timeliness
- Research and resolve complex accounting issues and transactions, including related internal controls
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial results, including variance explanations
- Participate in multi-functional teams and apply project management skills to support initiatives and process improvements
- Demonstrate knowledge in moderately complex aspects of general accounting, internal controls, company policy, financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, and financial applications
You must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minimum of 3 years' accounting experience. Foundation in public accounting is highly preferred as well as a CPA license or actively pursuing the CPA. This is an outstanding opportunity that provides a path to Manager.
