Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a university location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to campus needs with professionalism. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, calls for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to established procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs while maintaining a professional presence in an educational setting.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
