Sales & Customer Engagement Representative


Job Summary

We are seeking a highly ambitious sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment. This full-time, in-person role is well suited for someone who is motivated by results, enjoys building customer relationships, and is interested in growing a career in the insurance industry.


As a Sales & Customer Engagement Representative, you will engage with customers, educate them on insurance solutions, and help protect what matters most. Candidates who are coachable, goal-oriented, and energized by sales performance will find this role rewarding.


Schedule: Monday–Friday, in office


Compensation: $45,000–$65,000 base salary + commissions


Remote work: Not available


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships in person and by phone
  • Conduct confident, engaging sales conversations that lead to appropriate insurance solutions
  • Complete State Farm product training modules within required timelines
  • Follow up on quotes and customer inquiries within one business day
  • Track and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals
  • Assist customers with payments, policy updates, and general service needs
  • Represent the agency at community events and support local brand growth
  • Participate in ongoing sales and insurance training
  • Obtain and maintain required Illinois producer licenses (fire, casualty, life, and health); licensing support provided


Qualifications

  • One or more years of proven sales experience (required)
  • Insurance licenses (fire, casualty, life, and health) strongly preferred
  • Bachelor degree preferred (required)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
  • Comfortable using phone systems, email, and computer-based tools
  • Willingness to obtain required insurance licenses if not currently licensed
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally to customer locations as needed, including employee meetings and sales related events; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
