  • 10% Complies with Kelsey Pharmacy security policies, including issuance of keys and documentation, after‑hours access procedures, pharmacy visitor logs, and non‑pharmacy personnel logs. Designates a replacement when on vacation and is available after hours in the event of a break‑in, critical power outage, or impending disaster.
  • 10% Oversees profitable operation of the designated retail pharmacy, including management of cost of goods sold (COGs) to budget, supply expenses, staff overtime, prescription volume goals, and inventory minimum and maximum order points to maintain drug availability while meeting purchasing and inventory‑turn objectives.
  • 10% Promotes ongoing training and education for self and staff. Assists with training pharmacy personnel and assigned students, assigns continuing education to ensure staff are practicing at the top of their license, coaches employees to achieve pharmacy objectives, and conducts performance appraisals, counseling, and—when necessary and with appropriate approvals—termination of pharmacy personnel.
  • 10% Performs professional pharmacist duties associated with prescription processing to meet KSC and Kelsey Pharmacy objectives. Maintains an active pharmacy license in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. May serve as pharmacist‑in‑charge on applications for new pharmacies.
  • 10% Ensures implementation and adherence to KSC and Kelsey Pharmacy policies and procedures, including employee time‑off requests, FMLA workflow, EHS procedures related to ADA accommodations and on‑the‑job injuries, and timely response to communications from pharmacy administration.
  • 10% Ensures pharmacy staff adherence to defined workflow processes and promotes a culture of patient safety, including reporting dispensing errors or HIPAA breaches and completing required assessments for review by the Pharmacy Peer Review Committee.
  • 10% Implements and manages pharmacy clinical programs and initiatives. Maintains documentation in pharmacy and electronic medical records as applicable, including medication synchronization, patient adherence programs, companion medication programs, pharmacy‑administered immunizations, and specialty medication dispensing. Ensures patients are counseled as required and engaged as partners in their health and wellness.
  • 10% Ensures an excellent patient experience by promptly greeting patients in a courteous manner, actively listening, addressing concerns in a timely fashion, and serving as a role model for exceptional customer service.
