North America Interpipe is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to be based in our Houston, Texas office.


Interpipe is a seamless steel tubular manufacturer with industrial facilities located in Ukraine and Romania. This role will oversee all quality-related activities for our operations across the Americas, supporting business from Canada to Argentina. The position is critical in ensuring that all imported OCTG, line pipe, and mechanical pipe products meet customer specifications, international standards, and regulatory requirements.

The Quality Manager will act as the primary quality representative for the region, coordinating between Ukrainian and Romanian production facilities, customers, inspectors, and third-party agencies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead quality representative for all Americas operations.
  • Ensure compliance with API, ASTM, ASME, ISO, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Work with the industrial facilities to improve product quality and customer experience, defining product specifications and tolerances, in mill inspection requirements, and inbound inspection requirements.
  • Review and approve Mill Test Certificates (MTCs), inspection reports, and quality documentation.
  • Monitor and review all domestic inspections at 3rd party facilities, assuring proper process, equipment set up, reporting, communicating internally on the trends and areas of improvement with all management teams.
  • Coordinate with all customer mill audits to support successful acceptance of Interpipe industrial facilities and product lines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality inquiries, claims, and technical issues.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Conduct supplier and mill audits in coordination with Ukrainian and Romanian production teams.
  • Support sales and operations teams with technical and quality expertise during bidding and execution phases.
  • Maintain and improve quality management systems and procedures for the Americas region.
  • Monitor regulatory requirements across different countries in the Americas and ensure compliance.
  • Travel as needed for inspections, audits, and customer visits.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance/control within the steel pipe industry (OCTG, line pipe, or mechanical pipe).
  • Strong knowledge of API standards (API 5CT, 5L, etc.) and other relevant industry standards.
  • Experience in steel tubular manufacturing is highly preferred.
  • Experience with international trade/imported steel products is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with inspection processes, NDT methods, and certification requirements.
  • Proven experience handling customer claims and quality issues.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical understanding of steel pipe manufacturing and quality processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to work across international teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of regional responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in English (required); Ukrainian, Russian, or Romanian is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel across the Americas and occasionally to facilities in Ukraine and Romania.
