LHH is currently seeking a customer facing Quality Engineer for a well-established manufacturing company in the Indianapolis area. This role is ideal for a quality professional who thrives in highly regulated, zero tolerance environments where customer submission accuracy is critical and even minor documentation gaps can delay approval or shipment.
This position is heavily focused on external quality deliverables and customer interaction and requires exceptional attention to detail, strong process ownership, and comfort managing rejections and resubmissions.
Compensation: $70,000 – $90,000 annually (may be negotiable based on experience)
Location: Onsite/Weekdays (no weekends)

Key Responsibilities
• Create, review, and submit highly detailed customer quality documentation and data
packages for each shipment (PPAP like)
• Perform and manage First Article Inspections (FAIs), eCert approvals, and prior to shipment
approvals
• Validate all supplier documentation, certifications, and customer requirements before
production begins
• Own and administer a defined but under engineered external quality process, with
responsibility for standardization and improvement
• Manage multiple concurrent customer submission packages with strict accuracy and
completeness requirements
• Lead RCCA and corrective action efforts with both customers and suppliers
• Interface directly with customers on rejections, findings, and resubmissions, maintaining
professionalism and precision
• Partner cross functionally with internal teams and suppliers to resolve issues and prevent
recurrence
Must Have Qualifications
• 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
• Strong customer facing / external quality background
• Proven, hands on experience with:
o FAIs
o Customer data packages (PPAP or PPAP like)
o eCerts
o Prior to shipment approvals
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high stakes, detail driven submissions
simultaneously
• Strong RCCA and corrective action experience involving external stakeholders
• Experience identifying documentation gaps prior to production
• Exceptional attention to detail and process discipline
• Confident, professional communicator comfortable working with demanding customers
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering strongly preferred
