Under administrative direction, is responsible for directing the City procurement function including the procurement of materials, supplies, equipment, and services used by the City; performs related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a bachelor's degree and seven (7) years of experience in procurement, purchasing, finance, budgeting, supply chain management, business administration, or public administration. Substitution(s): Possession of a valid certification as a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD) from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), or as a Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) or a Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) from the Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC), or as a Certified Procurement Professional from the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) may substitute for the bachelor’s degree. Additional experience as listed above may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. A law degree may be substituted for two (2) years of the required experience. A master's degree may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.d written communication skills
