The Atlanta office of a national law firm is seeking a talented Litigation Paralegal to join its eminent domain and condemnation practice. This is a high‑impact role supporting complex matters involving government takings, property valuation, and real estate disputes. You’ll work closely with a collaborative team and play a key role in keeping cases organized, moving, and trial‑ready.You’ll support a litigation group consisting of five attorneys and you’ll be trusted to manage significant case responsibilities from day one.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage condemnation matters from initial intake through resolution
  • Prepare, organize, and file pleadings, discovery, motions, and supporting materials
  • Coordinate large volumes of case documents, including property records, appraisals, and title‑related materials
  • Review and summarize deeds, easements, plats, and other real estate documents
  • Maintain case calendars and track critical deadlines
  • Communicate with clients, expert witnesses (appraisers, engineers, consultants), and government agencies
  • Assist with trial preparation: exhibits, witness coordination, binders, logistics
  • Conduct cite‑checking (team is evaluating flexibility on this requirement; fewer pulls than historically required)
  • Perform basic legal and property research
  • Support attorneys and firm leadership with additional litigation tasks


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm or legal department
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Experience with condemnation/eminent domain, real estate disputes, or title work is a strong plus
  • Strong understanding of real estate documents and related terminology
  • Proven ability to manage complex files and meet critical deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working in a fast‑paced, professional services environment
  • Trial experience preferred (travel is occasional but typically minimal)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
