Job Description
Most schools hide operations behind closed doors, meetings, and multiple approval chains. Alpha takes a different approach. This role puts you front and center throughout the day: welcoming families, resolving device problems, managing smooth arrivals, reassuring concerned parents, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring the campus feels secure, polished, and distinctly Alpha.
We're looking for someone who can be approachable without compromising standards, systematic without retreating behind procedures, and self-assured without distancing themselves from hands-on work. You will manage nearly everything beyond classroom instruction: family communication, attendance systems, campus security, facility operations, meal coordination, technology devices, special events, and the minor issues that escalate quickly without immediate action.
You will not be surrounded by a large on-site operations staff. You will have documented procedures, remote assistance, and defined quality standards, but you must be capable of rapid learning, resourceful problem-solving, and sound independent decisions in real time. The long-term return is becoming the reliable adult that families recognize, guides depend on, and students feel comfortable approaching when something needs attention.
If you're seeking a high-visibility school operations position where service orientation, sound judgment, clear communication, and personal ownership are essential daily, apply now.
What You Will Be Doing
- Serve as the primary trusted contact for parents, students, staff, and visitors, delivering clear, composed, and prompt communication.
- Manage daily campus operations, including morning arrival, afternoon dismissal, attendance tracking, transportation coordination, meal logistics, campus presentation, event execution, and facility maintenance follow-through.
- Address safety and student welfare matters, including entry control, emergency drills, health situations, record-keeping, and family notifications.
- Oversee student technology devices and essential campus systems, including initial setup, account administration, issue diagnosis, data backups, repair coordination, and escalation to remote technical support.
- Establish credibility with Guides, service providers, and families by prioritizing helpfulness while upholding organizational standards.
- Staying out of sight in an administrative office while others manage parent and student interactions.
- Delivering classroom instruction, mentoring Guides, or developing educational content.
- Deferring to a supervisor for every decision before taking action.
- Processing operational needs through extended meeting cycles when the campus requires immediate resolution.
- Delegating facilities, devices, vendor relations, or meal services as outside your scope.
Deliver a secure, efficient, and inviting campus environment that builds confidence among students, parents, and staff daily.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
- At least 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or similar operational roles
- Comfort with basic technology tasks including device setup, troubleshooting, and account administration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across parents, staff, and vendors
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Available to work in-person in one of our campuses: Piedmont, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Fort Worth, TX; Keller, TX; Carrolton, TX; Austin, TX; Houston, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; Park City, UT; Tulsa, OK; Tampa, FL; Denver, CO; or Brentwood, TN — or willing to relocate

About The Company
Crossover
Crossover is a global recruitment company, founded in 2014. We're the world's largest recruiter that specializes in elite full-time remote jobs, hiring the top 1% of tech talent from every corner of the planet. We find awesome talent in overlooked places, by posting jobs all over the world, and giving everyone an equal opportunity to prove their skills are world-class. Our system of AI-powered assessments is based on objective factors that are scientifically proven to predict high performance (e.g. cognitive aptitude). Allow us to clarify some common misconceptions: 1) The reason we post so many job ads is because LinkedIn organizes all job postings by location. So, the only way to reach candidates all over the world is to post multiple ads in every city you want to hire from. Most recruiters don't bother because it's too time consuming... but we're not most recruiters. 2) We mostly recruit independent contractors, not employees, because labor laws vary so much from one country to another that it's near-impossible to recruit globally otherwise (which is why it's still uncommon even though most jobs can now be done remotely). 3) As is standard for any self-employed person, the stated pay is the entire compensation package. Because they are not employees, each contractor is responsible for handling the things that an employer would take care of e.g. taxes, equipment, vacation time, health insurance. One of the major reasons that Crossover jobs pay so much more than local jobs is to overcompensate for these costs. It's hard, but it's worth it!
