Role Description The Manager in Training role is a full-time, on-site position based in Oklahoma City, OK. This role prepares individuals to lead a local sales team by learning core business operations, sales processes, and leadership practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include learning to recruit, onboard, and mentor new agents, as well as supporting team members through coaching and performance feedback. The Manager in Training will assist with planning and leading training sessions, participating in field visits, and modeling effective customer service and consultative insurance sales. The role also involves tracking team performance, supporting territory growth initiatives, and collaborating with senior leaders to align local activities with company goals.
Qualifications
  • Strong supervisory skills, including the ability to motivate, guide, and support team members toward performance goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly, build rapport, and adapt messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Experience or interest in training and development, including delivering or supporting training sessions and ongoing coaching.
  • Customer service skills, with a focus on building long-term relationships, handling inquiries professionally, and resolving issues effectively.
  • Demonstrated drive to learn the insurance industry and sales processes; prior experience in sales, insurance, or financial services is a plus.
  • Ability to work on-site in Oklahoma City, OK, with a flexible schedule that may include some evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or a degree in business, management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain any required state insurance licenses (company support may be provided).
