About The White River State Park

Role Overview
To assist in the maintaining and facilities of grounds at White River State Park.
Essential Duties/Responsibilties
Representative will provide a wide variety of routine seasonal tasks to assist in the maintenance of park grounds.
Representative Duties Include
- Trash removal daily-over 150 receptacles
- Maintain flower, shrub and tree beds-mulch, weed and prune
- Dig holes for irrigation repair-assist in repair
- Operate various equipment on property
- Replace and repair lights in park
- Maintain sidewalks, stairs, roadways, and parking lots for snow removal
- Assist in set-up and teardown of events
- Performs needed tasks as assigned.
- Daily janitoral duties.
- Help with all tasks related to concerts and private events.
- Assist with maintenance and cleaning in parking garage and parking lot.
Job Requirements
- Grounds maintenance experience helpful;
- Ability to use simple hand tools;
- Ability to operate all grounds maintenance equipment and assist in needed repairs.
- Must be willing to work before and after regular scheduled hours when needed, must be willing to work evenings, weekends and some holidays.
- Must have valid Drivers License.
- Electrical experience helpful, will train.
- Irrigation repair experience helpful.
Salary Statement
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $16.24/hr but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
Benefits Of Employment With The State Of Indiana
This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
