LHH is seeking a Maintenance Planner for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client in Indianapolis, Indiana. You will be responsible for owning maintenance planning and scheduling activities for the facility, with a strong focus on PM effectiveness, compliance, and execution quality while minimizing equipment downtime and impact on production. The compensation is commensurate to experience and ranges between $105,000–115,000 per year plus bonus and includes a comprehensive benefits package, 401k plan with a company match, and generous PTO and holiday offerings.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own all maintenance planning and scheduling activities for the facility.
- Create, plan, and manage PMs, corrective maintenance, and planned rebuilds within the CMMS, including work order creation and job plans.
- Develop, refine, and standardize technically accurate maintenance plans with clear step-by-step instructions, labor estimates, and OEM specifications.
- Schedule maintenance work around production needs, guaranteed downtime, and sanitation windows to minimize operational impact.
- Audit PM execution to ensure quality work completion and prevent non-compliance.
- Monitor and analyze maintenance KPIs and CMMS data, including PM completion, schedule adherence, backlog, and wrench time.
- Coordinate parts kitting with the storeroom/MRO team using BOM-driven planning for PMs and major work.
- Ensure maintenance plans support lockout/tagout, safety, GMP, FDA, sanitation, and food safety compliance.
- Partner closely with operations and sanitation leadership to support production reliability, deep cleans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and schedule third-party contractors and OEM service providers as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of maintenance planning and/or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience utilizing a CMMS is required.
- Strong technical understanding of industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Previous experience supporting capital projects and major equipment rebuilds is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret maintenance data and KPIs.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work cross-functionally with maintenance, operations, sanitation, and safety teams.
