Litigation Secretary / Paralegal

🕒 Full-Time | On-Site (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
A well-established corporate litigation firm in downtown Houston is seeking an experienced
Litigation Secretary / Paralegal to join its collaborative legal team. This is a direct-hire, in-office opportunity offering long-term stability, strong benefits, and the ability to work alongside a highly respected group of attorneys.
This role is ideal for a seasoned litigation professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong technical expertise, and can contribute with minimal ramp-up time.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to 3–4 attorneys within an active litigation group
- Draft, prepare, and finalize pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
- Handle state and federal e-filing processes
- Maintain and manage litigation calendars, deadlines, and case tracking
- Accurately track and bill both personal and attorney time
- Assist with case management and contribute to overall team efficiency
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in general civil or corporate litigation
- Demonstrated career stability and professional longevity
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a litigation setting
- Strong knowledge of state and federal e-filing procedures
- Corporate or complex litigation experience strongly preferred
- Background in personal injury law is not aligned with this role
- Comfortable operating as a career litigation legal assistant or paralegal
- Able to step in and add value with minimal training
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $75,000 – $100,000 DOE (based on experience and skill set)
- Hourly position with potential for discretionary bonuses
