Litigation Paralegal – Insurance Defense | Fully Onsite

We are actively seeking a Litigation Paralegal with insurance defense litigation experience to support a high‑volume partner practice. This role requires a paralegal who works independently, produces clean, polished work product, and can anticipate attorney needs without direction.

💰 Salary: Up to $90K DOE

💵 Bonuses: Discretionary

📊 Billable Requirement: 125–140 hours/month (preference closer to 140)

• After 90 days: 1 remote day/month

Practice & Workflow Overview

• Insurance defense litigation practice with ~50–60 active cases

• Directly assigned to one partner

• One experienced paralegal currently supporting this attorney

• Requires full ownership of litigation workflow

• Attorney expects materials to be prepared or immediately accessible when requested

• High standards for accuracy, responsiveness, and turnaround

This role is not suitable for someone who needs step‑by‑step direction.

Role Expectations & Responsibilities

• Heavy insurance defense litigation support

• Significant trial preparation

• Independent handling of:

• Discovery
• Records ordering and management
• Case organization and lifecycle tracking
• Prepare pleadings, discovery responses, deposition materials, and trial support documents
• Coordinate filings and service
• Maintain clean, court‑ready work product
• Anticipate next steps throughout the litigation lifecycle

Required Experience & Skill Set

Mandatory Qualifications:

✅ Texas Law firm paralegal experience

✅ Insurance defense background (required)

✅ 5+ years litigation paralegal experience

✅ Strong discovery and trial prep knowledge

This role is best suited for a seasoned insurance defense paralegal who values ownership, precision, and autonomy in a demanding litigation practice.
