Consilio’s Direct Hire Division is seeking a Labor & Employment Legal Assistant in Washington, DC for our law firm client, an AmLaw‑ranked global firm.


  • Schedule: Hybrid (4/1 schedule)
  • Salary range: $70,000 – $120,000, depending on experience


The role will support labor and employment litigators at all stages of litigation—from case initiation through appeal. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience supporting litigation attorneys, a strong understanding of trial procedures, and familiarity with federal, state, and appellate court rules.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, file, and serve legal documents across federal, state, and appellate courts
  • Manage case calendars, deadlines, and attorney schedules
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and meeting logistics
  • Support case management, including document organization and data handling
  • Assist with billing, time entry, and expense reporting
  • Maintain strong communication and workflow coordination with attorneys and staff


Required Experience

  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience supporting labor and employment litigators
  • Strong background in litigation support, including trial preparation
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and appellate court procedures
  • Experience with nationwide federal and multi‑district litigation

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Zoom, Teams
  • NetDocs, PACER, DocketBird
  • QuickBooks, UltiPro, Compulaw, Chrome River
  • TeamSync, ContractExpress, DocuSign, Monday.com, InTapp
  • Bulk data transfer solutions
