The successful candidate will be required to work onsite for the first three months and then will will move to hybrid schedule as long as performance meets expectations.Essential Job Functions:In this role as Key Account Manager, your primary objective will be to retain and develop existing business by leveraging strong relationships with assigned accounts. You will be responsible for understanding the customer’s business and supply chain strategies and will ensure that all operational requirements are proactively identified and addressed with the appropriate company resources. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESIdentify and build strong relationships with key account stakeholders.Ensure understanding of the customer’s organization and decision-making process.Directly manage the Key Account(s) in alignment with agreed-upon targets while providing continuous improvement solutions, with a focus on business retention, long-term relationships, and GP growth.Maintain compliance with the company’s sales management processes and systems and ensure correct and timely updates in the customer relationship system (CRM).Negotiate rates with customers in alignment with sales and product strategy and ensure rate sheets, quotes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are documented and maintained as needed.Monitor monthly performance and provide proactive corrective actions in case of deviations.Conduct regular and structured review sessions (QBRs) with the assigned account(s) focusing on a review of current customer priorities, operational execution, excellence, and process for continuous innovation and future opportunities.Other assigned dutiesQualifications Needed:High School Diploma required; Bachelors strongly desired3-5 years’ experience with a freight forwarder, import/export, or a similar industry is strongly desiredInterpersonal and analytical skills required2-5 years of sales experience preferredGood interpersonal skills requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMicrosoft Office & ability to learn and use other applicationsMust have strong ethical standardsOffering:Base Salary, based on experienceGreat medical, dental and vision plans401K with Company matchVacation, Sick and PTO timeGreat Company culture, fun environment
