About The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated Junior Accountant to join our growing team in Atlanta, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to develop their skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and eager to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial statements, reports, and records
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time
  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate documentation
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Respond to internal and external audit requests and assist with audit preparation
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3-4 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with accounting software
  • CPA candidacy or plans to pursue CPA licensure
  • Familiarity with tax regulations
  • Experience in a corporate or public accounting environment
