The Human Resources Director will support a workforce of more than 1,000 employees across the United States and serve as a key business partner to leadership. The ideal candidate will bring experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or similarly operational environment, along with the ability to work both strategically and tactically. This opportunity is well suited for an HR leader who can build credibility quickly, operate with sound judgment, and provide practical HR leadership in a business that values operational alignment, steady execution, and partnership with senior leaders.
Key Responsibilities

- Lead employee relations matters and workplace investigations with sound judgment, objectivity, and confidentiality.
- Assess HR-related risk and partner appropriately with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective resolution of issues.
- Coach leaders on performance, accountability, documentation, and workplace expectations.
- Partner with recruiting leadership and the business on workforce planning, onboarding, and talent needs.
- Help identify and implement practical HR process improvements that are sustainable and aligned with operational needs.
- Support a workforce mix that includes both hourly and salaried employees across multiple U.S. entities.
Qualifications

- Prior experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction, field services, or other operationally intensive environments strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated strength in employee relations, investigations, coaching leaders, and navigating organizational change.
- Ability to move comfortably between strategic discussions and hands-on day-to-day execution.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR priorities to operational realities.
- Experience in a decentralized or multi-entity organization is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
Why This Role
This is a high-visibility opportunity to join a long-standing, nationally recognized environmental services organization and make a meaningful impact on the evolution of its HR function.
